Marta Wycech (25 years old)
I live in Łódź, where I was born, I grew up and studied art.
I graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Forms at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź last year.
In order to use the experience which I gained during my studies, internships and work, and to continue my professional development, I am opening my own business. I am interested in designing new products, providing objects with new forms and functions. I want to respond to new needs and expectations.
In addition to design, I am keen on travelling and snowboarding.

The main idea behind her design was the need to go beyond the traditional division of the living space into separate rooms, the kitchen and the bathroom. Furniture, combined into a sequence, performs the function tailored to standard utility requirements of our apartments. The furniture can be carried along the entire open area of a flat. Interior type is defined by the location of different modules: a couch, a bookcase, a desk or a kitchen top. The furniture can be arranged freely, depending on the size of the interior. The design has been selected for production by Vox.
“In her design, Marta Wycech successfully addresses contemporary trends in interior arrangement which abandon traditional divisions based on functions of different areas”.
